At Egg Back Home, all orders are carefully packed and shipped from our studio in Portugal. We work with trusted shipping partners and do our best to ensure your order arrives safely and on time.

Processing Times

Most orders are prepared and shipped within 2 to 5 business days. During high-demand periods or special product launches, handling times may be slightly longer.

If any item is out of stock or requires additional production time, our team will contact you with an estimated shipping date.

Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times after dispatch:
• Portugal: 1–3 business days
• European Union: 3–7 business days
• Outside the EU: 5–12 business days

Please note that delivery times may vary due to external factors such as customs delays, weather conditions, or local holidays. Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number via email.

If you need your order by a specific date, feel free to contact us before placing it.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight. From time to time, we may offer free shipping promotions, which will be clearly announced on our website.

Customs & Import Duties

International orders (outside the EU) may be subject to customs duties and import taxes. These fees are not included in the product or shipping price and are the responsibility of the customer.

We recommend checking your country’s import policies before placing an order. If a customer refuses to pay customs duties and the parcel is returned to us, the return costs and applicable fees will be deducted from any eligible refund.

Returned Parcels – Refused, Unclaimed or Incorrect Address

If a parcel is returned to us because:
• The delivery address was incorrect or incomplete
• The customer refused to pay applicable customs duties or taxes
• The parcel was not collected at a pick-up point or post office within the carrier’s timeframe

…the customer will be responsible for:
• The original shipping cost (even if it was offered as “free shipping”)
• Any return shipping fees charged by the carrier
• Any customs duties or handling fees incurred by Egg Back Home due to the refusal or failed delivery

These actual costs will be deducted from the refund amount. If the customer wishes to have the order re-shipped, a new shipping charge will apply.

Damaged Deliveries

We take great care in packaging our ceramics safely, using protective and sustainable materials. However, in rare cases, breakage may occur in transit.

If you receive a damaged item:
• Contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery
• Include photos of the damaged product(s), the shipping box, and all packaging materials
• Email us at: info@eggbackhome.com

We will replace the item or issue a refund/store credit after verifying the damage.

Holiday Season & Peak Periods

During the holiday season or peak periods, shipping and delivery times may be longer than usual due to higher volumes handled by our carriers. We recommend placing your orders early to avoid delays.
